I've used a UK-based site as a casual resource on ColdFusion vs. the world in regards to day rates, available jobs, etc. and thought it might be worth sharing for those who have never seen it.

There are some interesting, if occasionally depressing, numbers there. Clearly there are a lot of companies who need SQL talent, and I'm impressed that companies value our skills far more than PHP/Rails developers (at least in terms of dollars/hour and day rates). I guess they realize that while we may cost a little more, the fact that we spend far fewer hours completing their projects (and, if I might say so myself, often to a much higher standard) that we are more than worth the higher per-increment rate

Aug 22, 2009 at 5:49 PM Grant, thanks for sharing, I wish I could find something that detailed for Australian CF positions.
Although the numbers are down on last year it seems that ColdFusion did do better than most technologies and looking at those numbers am I right in assuming the UK IT jobs market has suffered bad in the last year?
I wonder which country can claim the title of most CF developers per capita? I hear CF is big in Japan :D
Cheers, Joanna.
