Yes, thank goodness, the online store is finally up and running and Meld Forums for Mura is now available for purchase.  Soooo many little details to fret over and test when you are dealing with online transactions, it feels like you are launching a shuttle.

We built it out as a completely custom solution, seeing as we wanted a great deal of control over the 'completion' events such as creating user accounts, assigning groups, generating license keys and the like, and are pretty happy with the results.  It was also a good 'first iteration' step towards our unofficially-announced-yet-here-it-is-in-print plugin Meld Ecomm (yes, it's evil to mention and not elaborate upon, but our new Meld website ... also forthcoming ... will be the best place for that to happen).

One of the best things about the launch (at least to me) is knowing that the next Meld plugin won't have to sit idling while we build all of the deployment/support/etc. again.  The other 'best thing', of course, is that people will finally be able to get their hands on it.

Another bonus was that building the online store finally let me give Mura custom events a good run through.  Events were new enough in the Mura ecosphere that they didn't really exist when Meld Forums was being developed, so the online store was really the first place they could be put to use ... and let me tell you, they are fantastic.  They create the perfect sort of medium for plugin <-> plugin communication that will be at the core of the Meld 'ecology'.  I'll post a few blogs on this subject in the near future, but for now just let me say they are worth investing a bit of learn-time into.
